In the first two months of 2008, Dong Nai attracted more than $250 million of FDI, a year-on-year increase of 250 percent, making up over 16 percent of the year’s plan. The figure included $190 million in registered capital from 17 newly-license FDI projects and a combined addition of $59.4 million from operational projects. Besides, Dong Nai has granted licences to 4 new domestic projects and 2 expanded projects worth a combined VND612 billion, 180 percent higher than that of last year.

The province has so far attracted over 900 foreign-invested projects with a total capital of around $11.84 billion and 58 domestic projects capitalized at VND17.568 trillion. Accordingly, Dong Nai’s industrial parks attracted 740 FDI projects and 27 domestic projects.
